Sleep Tight Night Cream
This is a butter-based recipe that gives it a cream like texture without having to go into the complicated process of combining oil and water to make a traditional moisturiser. Shea butter is wonderfully rich and moisturising, and also has great anti-inflammatory properties so will help calm tired skin after a long day.
Sweet almond oil is a natural emollient and helps to hydrate, particularly sensitive areas of skin such as under the eyes (so great to eliminate those bags, meaning you’ll wake up looking fresh faced). Lavender is calming, soothing and its aromatherapy qualities will help you get a great night’s sleep!
- 40ml Jojoba Oil
- 40ml Sweet Almond Oil
- 20g Shea Butter
- 5 Drops Lavender Essential Oil
Shelf life: 3 months
Gently melt the shea butter in a bain-marie. Remove from heat as soon as it becomes liquid so that it doesn’t burn. In a separate bowl, combine the jojoba, almond and lavender and stir well. Add the liquid oils to the shea butter and gently whisk for a few minutes. This will give your cream a fluffy texture. Place in a jar and allow to cool before using.
